On December 6, 2015, our team attended our first ever FTC robotics competition at Menlo-Atherton High School. Although we only ended up in second place, we still had a great time and learned about gracious professionalism.

    In the morning, at around 8:00 AM, our team members arrived at the school. We were amazed by how beautiful the campus looked, and by how they had two underground gyms. However, there wasn’t any time to waste marveling the architectural designs. We had to prepare the robot for inspection. At first, we all felt sluggish and didn’t want to do work. It was as if we had pulled an all-nighter playing videogames on a playstation 4. Then we remember that the real reason why we were there was not to goof off but to win a competition, so we got our act together and completed the first inspection.
